Quite possibly one of the best (although there are lots to pick from) episodes of Corner Gas is the one where they try to come up with a trademark ‘World’s Biggest Something’ for Dog River.
It got me thinking it might be fun to do a blog series on ‘big’ town symbols from the prairies, and maybe even across Canada.
One thing I’ve noticed in the time I’ve been blogging is that posts with just a little bit of a personal touch really go over well. So, if there’s a big gopher, chicken, dog, combine or whatever at the turnoff to your town, it would be great to hear from you! Pictures would be most appreciated, and a little written blurb along with them would be even better.
