Check out my recently acquired Justin Derazey violin! Justin Derazey was the son of French violin maker Honore Derazey, and together they built instruments up until 1880 when the younger died.
As was common at the time, the rights to making this style were sold to another Frenchman, who continued making them until about 1930.
This copy was probably made ca. 1920, and has fantastic sound and playability. Watch as I begin installing a set of geared tuning pegs!
