Aiersi/Sinomusik has introduced a new version of their popular MVT700 model. The MVT800 features beautiful antiquing, ebony fingerboard and nut and rosewood fittings. The lightweight tailpiece has four fine tuners. The instrument comes with a new, good quality brazilwood bow and nice carrying case. It is currently available in 4/4 size only.
When upgraded with buyer’s choice of upgraded strings such as Tonica, Zyex or Alphayue, sound production and playability are excellent. In fact, my opinion is that it surpasses much more expensive instruments such as the Eastman VL80 in this aspect.
I believe the major improvement in the MVT is not visible, but is more in attention to detail during production. Precise measurements and plate graduation have obviously been very important. As usual, I have done the final setup myself to ensure optimum playability.
