On Sunday, May 3, the Outlook Men’s Chorus finished the season with a well-attended performance in the chapel of LCBI.
Of course the afternoon started with the crowd joining in the singing of Oh, Canada. This year’s program included old standards such as Away From the Roll of the Sea and Ride the Chariot, and pop favourites like Ain’t She Sweet and When I’m Sixty Four. As always, the grand finale was The Irish Blessing.
Some of the ladies generously set out snacks and refreshments to enjoy along with fellowship once the singing was over.
For my part, I have never taken part in something like this. Even though I’m a maybe tenor, maybe baritone and sometimes both, I was accepted into the group without bias. For that I am grateful!
