July 31, 2017 marks the centennial of the Battle of Passchendaele. It was a Great War battle unequalled in its savagery.
The battle was memorialized by Paul Gross in his movie titled simply, ‘Passchendaele’. I have to say it was one of the best Canadian-made movies I’ve seen.
