Edison and Westinghouse
In the late nineteenth century, Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse battled for control of the new electricity market. Edison saw a golden opportunity and seized upon it — and in the process conducted (pun intended) what I have heard referred to as the first guerilla advertising.
