Character: Lacey Burrows, played by Gabrielle Miller. City girl from Toronto comes to town and opens up her deceased Aunt Ruby`s shuttered restaurant. Constantly trying to fit in, improve the town, and try new things at the cafe, much to the local`s chagrin. Known to be a bad liar, a bad loser, a bad winner and a bad confidante. Despite all this, she is generally likable and good-natured.
Burrows, Saskatchewan:
Information on Burrows is scarce. The only thing I’ve found is that it was named for Manitoba Deputy of Agriculture, Acton Burrows, about the time the CPR main line was being built.
